Medicinal Treatment
To destroy cancer cells, shrink tumors, and prevent recurrence.
- Chemotherapy, often administered intravenously, uses powerful drugs to kill cancer cells, either before surgery (neoadjuvant) or after (adjuvant).
- Targeted therapy drugs, such as PARP inhibitors or anti-angiogenic agents, specifically attack cancer cells with certain genetic mutations or inhibit their growth pathways.
- Immunotherapy, a newer approach, uses medications to boost the body's own immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells.

Surgical Treatment
To remove cancerous tissue, stage the disease, and improve the effectiveness of subsequent treatments.
- Debulking surgery (cytoreduction) aims to remove as much of the cancerous tissue as possible, often including the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus (hysterectomy).
- Oophorectomy (removal of ovaries) and salpingectomy (removal of fallopian tubes) are common procedures, often performed bilaterally.
- Lymphadenectomy, the removal of nearby lymph nodes, may be performed to check for cancer spread and to remove affected nodes.
